Auricular Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years as an effective form

of medicine to treat various ailments. Among others, acupuncture is an

effective tool for chronic pain management, fertility, stress management

and to balancing out the body's energy meridians to bring lasting health

Known as German Auricular Acupuncture, it is a complete modality of diagnosis and treatment. Unlike body acupuncture, auricular acupuncture is treating the central nervous system rather than meridians. The ear represents a map of the whole body, including the musculoskeletal system, the organs, and the brain. The practitioner inspects the ear for changes in shape, color, tenderness, and electrical conductance that signify pain, illness or any other pathological change. The points are then treated with a needle, ear seed, laser or electrical stimulation.

The list of applications for auricular treatments is quite

extensive so here are just very few of the conditions that

can be treated: AllergiesAnxietyArthritis, Chronic

pain, Constipation, Infertility, DepressionFibromyalgia,

 HeadacheInsomniaIrritable bowel syndromeLow

back pain, Migraine, Thyroid issues, Smoking cessation,

 Chronic pain, StressWeight issues, Vertigo.

Auricular Acupuncture was developed by Dr. Paul Nogier, French neurologist, in the 1950s and then further researched and developed into a complete medical theory by Dr. Frank Bahr et.al. in Germany. They discovered that the Ear tells the story of what is happening in the whole human system at any point in time! As a microsystem projection of the brain, the ear provides a precise map that is visible, accessible and diagnostic! Even conditions related to internal scars, or the central nervous system, conditions that would otherwise demand invasive procedures, are available here for assessment and treatment.

           German Auricular Acupuncture

German auricular acupuncture is a system of auricular acupuncture

developed in the 1950's by French physician Dr. Paul Nogier and

focuses on the active points, disturbances, of one's ears. The ears

are the most effective and direct ways of treating the brain and is

a map of the human body's system. The ear is able to tell us the

body's conditions and gives access to the nervous system.

German acupuncture is able to stimulate the central nervous system

directly through the active points of the ear which sends messages

to correct pain pathways and can help balance emotional centres

of the brain.
